Hervé Couturier

Hervé Couturier is executive vice president of the Product Group for Business Objects, an SAP company. In this role, he is responsible for all Business Objects engineering activities. Couturier reports directly to John Schwarz, CEO of Business Objects and member of the Executive Board of SAP AG.
Couturier served as head of the Product Group for Business Objects from 2002 until its acquisition by SAP.
Before joining Business Objects, Couturier worked as head of the Banking division for cash management software company XRT, now part of the Sage Group PLC, from 1997 through 1998. He then served as head of the Product Group at software provider S1 Corporation from 1998 until assuming his position at Business Objects.
Couturier began his career at IBM in 1982, where he held various engineering and business positions through 1998.
Couturier holds both an engineering degree and a master's of science degree from the École Centrale de Paris in France. He also serves as a board member for SimCorp A/S, a public Danish software company.
